Answer:

ANSWER

Let the distance travelled at 100 km/hr be x km.

Then, distance travelled at 50 km/hr is (170 - x) km.

Given,

100

x

+

50

(170−x)

=2

100

x+2(170−x)

=2⇒x+240−2x=200

⇒x=140km.

∴ Distance travelled at 50 km/hr =(170−140)km=30km

Answer:

distance = 270km = 270000m

time = 4\frac{1}{2}  \\ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   =  \frac{9}{2}

speed =  \frac{distance}{time}

speed =  \frac{270000}{ \frac{9}{2} }

speed =  \frac{270000 \times 2}{9}

speed = 30000 \times 2

speed = 6 \times  {10}^{4} m \: per \: sec
