A car travels at a speed of 50km/h in the first 30 minutes and 100km/h in the next 30 minutes. What is the total distance covered by the car?​

Explanation:

v_{1} = 50 kmph

t_{1} = 30 min = 0.5 h

v_{2} = 100 kmph

t_{2}  = 30 min  = 0.5 h

Distance travelled with speed v_{1} = (v_{1})(t_{1) = (50)x(0.5) = 25 km = x_{1}

Distance travelled with speed v_{2} = (v_{2})(t_{2}) = (100)x(0.5) = 50 km = x_{2}

∴ Total Distance = x_{1} + x_{2} = 25 km + 50 km = 75 km
