as the time is same for both situations so we can use
Vaverage = (V1 + V2)/2
= 80+40/2 = 120/2 = 60 km/h.

Answer:

➤Let us assume that,

➤The car travelled for 2 hour

➢So for one hour,

⇒Distance Travelled = Velocity × Time

⇒80 × 1

⇒80 km

➣For second one hour,

⇨Distance Travelled = Velocity × Time

⇨40 × 1

⇨40 km

⇨Total Distance Travelled = 80 + 40

⇨120 km

\sf ➯Average \: speed =  \dfrac{Total \: Distance}{Total \: Time}

\sf ➯\cancel \dfrac{120}{2}

➾60 km/h.
