Answer: Retardation = -10 m/s^2

Distance = 750 m

Explanation:

Initial velocity of the car (v) = 50 m/s

Final velocity of the car (f) = 0 m/s

Time taken (t) = 5 secs

We know,

Acceleration = f-v/t

= (0-50/5) m/s^2

= -10 m/s^2

Then,

Time = 15 secs

We know,

Distance = Speed×Time

= (50×15) m

= 750 m

Hope this helps!!
