Answer:

A car travels from city A to city B with a speed of 40 km/h, and it comes back from city B to city A with the speed of 50km/h. What is the time taken by the car to cover the whole distance?

Let the distance from A to B = d km.

Time taken to travel from A to B = d/40 hrs.

Time taken to travel from B to A = d/50 hrs.

Total distance covered = 2d km.

Total time taken = d(40+50)/(40*50) = 9d/20 hrs.

Just substitute d with the actual distance between A and B and you will get the total time of travel. I leave that part to you.
