Answer

Total Distance = 300 km

Total Displacement = 100 km

Explanation:

Distance is the total length of the path along which a body travels.

So From town A to C the car travels 200 km.

Then comes back to B located between A and C. Which is 100 km.

Adding them 200 + 100 = 300 km

Displacement is the shortest from initial to the final position of the body.

So From town A to C the car travels 200 km.

Then comes back to B located between A and C. Which is 100 km.

Since it comes back half way through we will subtract 100 km from 200 km.

Answer is 100 km
