we know that a= velocity by time and for velocity = acceleration × time so velocity=at

d = ½at²
speed = d/t = ½at² / t = ½at
So if the car accelerated at 5 meters per second per second, and did so for 10 seconds, its average speed would be 5*10/2 = 25 meters per second
