see let assume the distance travel will be x as means it has covered angle theta ( for the complete full circle theta is 360 so for unknown distance angle is theta) as the area of the arc covered bu the car is radius × theta(Ф)

and displacement is always r(radius of the circle)

so the ratio of displacement to distance is radius÷ radius × Ф( theta)

= 1/Ф
