A car travels with speed 30km /h for 30mins .and then with speed 50km/h for one hour find the total distance traveled by the car

Expert Answer:

Speed = distance travelled / time of motion

Therefore,

distance travelled = speed x time of motion

In 30 minutes i.e 0.5 Hr, the car travelling with the speed of 30 Km/Hr will cover

= 30 x 0.5 = 15 Km distance

If the same car travells with the speed of 50 Km/Hr for 30 mins , the car will cover

= 50 x 0.5= 25 Km

Therefore, the total distance travelled by the given car is 15 Km + 25Km = 40 Km
