Speed of car for first 15 min = 60 km/h = 50/3 m/s

Speed of car for next 15 min = 40 km/h = 100/9 m/s

Time for both cases (t) = 15 min = 900 s

Distance travelled in first half = 50/3*900 = 15000 m = 15 km

Distance travelled in second half = 10000 m = 10 km

total distance travelled by car = 10+15 = 35 km

Note - For converting km/h into m/s multiply it with 5/18
