Answer:

distance cover in 30mins= speed × time

= 30×1/2

=15km

distance cover in 1hr=speed ×time

=40×1

=40km

total distance cover by car=40+15

=55

total time = 1+1/2

=3/2

Average of speed of car=total distance/total

time

= 55/3/2

= 55×2/3

= 110/3

=36⅔

deepika3668: total time is wrong
deepika3668: and the average speed also
amanraj56: check again the answer i think i m right

Answer:

a) T1=1/2hr

V1=30km/hr

Speed = distance / time

30=s1/(1/2)

s1 =15km

now V2=40km/hr

T2=1hr

speed = distance/time

40 = s2/1

s2=40m

total distance travelled by car = s1+s2 = 15+40 = 55m

b) Total time taken = T1 + T2 = 1/2 + 1 = 3/2 hr

c) Average speed = Total distance / Total time

= 55/(3/2) = 110/3 km/hr

Hope it helped u!
