A car waiting at a traffic signal as it turn green the car starts a head with a constant acceleration of 3 m/s 2/at the same time a bus traveling with a constant speed of 20 m/s overtakes and pass the car what will the velocity of the car at that time nd how far beyond its starting point will the car over takes the bus ???

Distance travelled by truck in time t moving with uniform velocity 10 m/s
distance = velocity ×time =
d = 10 t

Distance should be equal to the car moving with acceleration 2 m/s2 in time t.
s = ut + 1/2at2
as car start from rest then initial velocity is zero.
10t = 0 + 1/2×2×t2
t = 10 s

distnace travelled = 10×10 = 100 m

velocity of the car after 10 s.

v = u + at
v = 0+2×10
v = 20 m/s

chandan3129: is method s digit ko dekh lena
xheikhfiza: but ut ???? s=vit + 1/2 at2
xheikhfiza: vi is the initial velocity but ut ???

Answer:Distance travelled by truck in time t moving with uniform velocity 10 m/s

distance = velocity ×time =

d = 10 t

Distance should be equal to the car moving with acceleration 2 m/s2 in time t.

s = ut + 1/2at2

as car start from rest then initial velocity is zero.

10t = 0 + 1/2×2×t2

t = 10 s

distnace travelled = 10×10 = 100 m

velocity of the car after 10 s.

v = u + at

v = 0+2×10

v = 20 m/s
