a car weighing 1600 kg moving with a velocity of 30m/sec retards uniformly coming to rest in 20 sec calculate
1) initial momentum,2) final momentum,3)rate of change of momentum,4)acceleration of the car and 5) magnitude of the force applied
Please help out.....with all the steps

mu= 1600×30=48000
mv=1600×0=0
change in momentum=mv-mu=0-48000÷20=-2400
acceleration=-1.5
force=ma=1600×(-1.5)=2400N

khushi3eg: how acceleration is -1.5? steps please..........thankyou
julie2: that answer is correct
