The average velocity is 40/6 m/s. If the acceleration is uniform then the final velocity is twice that or 40/3 m/s. The work done by the car to bring itself to that speed from rest equals its final kinetic energy ½mv² = 1000*(40/3)² = 1600/9 kJ 177777.7812 kj
