A car weighting 2400kg and moving with a velocity of 20m/s is stopped in 10s on applying breaks. Calculate the retardation and retarding force?​

t=10 s

mass=2400 kg

By the equation of motion, v=u+at

=>0=20+10a

=>-10a=20

=>a=-2

so, the retardation is -2 m/s²

We know that, F=m*a

So, force =2400*-2= -4800 N
