Solution:

By The Given Method,

Present value = ₹ 250000

Decrease in first year:

= 10%
= 10% of 250000
= 10/100 × 250000
= ₹25000

So,value after first year =

₹250000 - 25000 = ₹225000

Decrease in second year

= 10%
= 10% of 225000
= 10/100 × 225000
= ₹22500

Value after second year

= 225000 - 22500 = ₹202500

Hence , the car's value of two years is ₹202500.

Q: A car which cost ₹2,50,000 depreciates by 10% every year. What will the car be worth after the two years?

Solution :-

Given
A car which cost ₹2,50,000 depreciates by 10% every year.

Decrease in first year = 10%
= 10% of 250000
= 0.1 × 250000
= ₹ 25000

Find the cost of car after one year :-

₹(250000 - 25000) = ₹ 225000

Decrease in second year = 10%
= 10% of 225000
= 0.1 × 225000
= ₹ 22500

Find the cost of car after second year :-

= ₹ (225000 - 22500) = ₹ 202500

Hence ,
The car be worth after the two years = ₹ 202500
