u=0

max velocity attentd by car ,time for max velo =T/2

v=0+aT/2=aT/2

distance covered by car during acc.

s1=0+(a(T/2)²)/2=aT²/8

distance covered during retardation

s2=aT/2(T/2)-1/2 a(T/2)²

=aT²/4-aT²/8

total distance covered by car,

s1+s2= aT²/8+aT²/4-aT²/8

= aT²/4

so, option d is correct
