A car with a mass of 1000kg initially moving at a rate of 20ms rolls to a stop. What is the work done by friction? What is the force of friction if it takes a distance of 20m for the car to stop?

s=20

m=1000

u=20

v=0

as

v^2-u^2=2as

0-400=2*(a)20

a=-10

force of friction is

ma=1000*(-10)

=-10000N
