A car with a speed of 25m/s weighing 900 Kg stops at a distance of 40 metres. Calculate the force exerted and the and work done by the brakes.PLs answer this question !

force = ma
v^2-u^2 = 2as
(0)^2 - (25)^2 = 2 * a * 40
-625 = 80a
a = -625/80
=-7.8125 m/s^2
= -7.82 (for calculation purposes)


f = 900 *- 7.82
= -7038 N


w = f * s
= 7038 * 40
= 28152 J  ( work is a scalar quantity so negative sign not required.
