A carbon resistor has colour code of brown, green, gold and silver. The resistance of the resistor will be
O (1.5 + 10%) ohm
0 (0.5 + 5%)ohm

Answer:

answer is option A

Explanation:

For Brown band the no is =1

For Green band the no is =5

If the third band is Gold then no is =10^-1 and if the third band is Silver then no is =10^-2.

Here four band is Silver so tolerance is 10%

so resistance of the carbon resistor is=(15*10^-1+10%) ohm

=(1.5+10%)ohm

Given - Colours on resistor - brown, green, gold and silver.

Find - Resistance of resistor

Solution - According to colour code, brown colour holds value 1 and green colour holds value 5.

Gold color holds values 0.1 ohm. Silver colour represents 10% tolerance.

Hence, keeping the values according to codes, the resultant will be -

15*0.1

= 1.5

Therefore, the resistance of resistor according to given code is - 1.5 + 10% ohm.
