Given :

  • A card is drawn at random from a well shuffled pack of 52 playing cards .

To Find :

  • Probability of getting a spade .

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Total\:Cards=52}

\longmapsto\tt{Favourable\:Outcomes=13}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Probability=\dfrac{No.\:of\:favourable\:Outcomes}{Total\:no.\:of\:Outcomes}}

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{13}{52}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{\dfrac{1}{4}}

So , The Probability of getting a spade is 1/4 .
