Answer:

the probability that first card drawn will qween will be- 4/52=1/13 ( as there are 4 queens out of 52 cards.

now the probability that the second card will be queen will be- 3/51 = 1/17( as 1 queen is already choosen)

so the probability that both cards will be queen =1/13*1/17= 1/221

Given:

A card is drawn from a pack of 52 cards and then a second card is drawn .

To Find:

What is the probability that both the cards are drawn are queen?

Solution:

As there are 4 queens out of 52 cards,

The probability that first card drawn will queen will be 4/52 = 1/13

Now,

The probability that the second card will be queen will be  3/51 = 1/17

( as 1 queen is already choosen)

So,

The probability that both cards will be queen = 1/13 x 1/17 = 1/221

Hence, the probability that both the cards are drawn are queen is 1/221.
