A pack of 52 cards is divided into 4 groups.

13 spade cards, 13  club cards. (black cards)

13 hearts and 13 diamonds (red cards)

Again each group consists of king, queen, jack, cards numbered from 2 to 10 and A card.

Our requirement is king and queen.

In each group a king and a queen and 4 groups are there.

So, total number of king and queen cards = 8

We know,

Probablity = number of favorable or required cases/total number of cases.

Number of cards of king or queen  =  8

Total number of cards = 52

Probability for a king or queen = 8/52 = 2/13

I hope, this helps you.
