A card is drawn from a well shuffled deck of cards. Find the probability of drawing (I)A black

Each of the color have king,queen and jack.

Now,

(1) The no. of outcome is 26 (13 pairs)

p(of getting an black card)=26/52

=1/2.(ans)

(2) There is only one ace.

No. of favorable outcome = 1

p(of getting an ace) = 1/52.(ans)

(3) There are three face cards.

Each set will have three face cards.

So, no. of face cards = 4×3=12

Therefore, non face cards = 52-12 =40

p(of getting a non face card ) = 40/52

=10/13.(ans)
