Total cards = 52
So, total possible results = 52
Number of spades in a pack = 13
And, number of Ace in a pack = 4
So,
Desired Results for drawing a Spade or an Ace = 13 + 4 - 1 = 16
(Because, A spade of ace is the intersection)
So,
Probability = P(E) = Desired Results/Total Possible Results
P(E) = 16/52
P(E) = 4/13.....●

total no. of cards in a pack = 52
total no. of spade in a pack = 13
total no. of ace in a pack = 4
total no. of required cards = 13 + 4 - 1 = 16
ace of spade already counted.
hence the probability of spade or an ace = 16/52
= 4/13.
total no. of spade in a pack = 13
total no. of ace in a pack = 4
total no. of required cards = 13 + 4 - 1 = 16
ace of spade already counted.
hence the probability of spade or an ace = 16/52
= 4/13.
