a cardboard and its contents ( total mass 30 kg) are pushed across a rough floor at a steady rate of 0.8m\s. when the box is no longer pushed, it comes to rest in a distance of 0.5 m. what frictional force acts on the box while it is being pushed?

Mass of cardboard,m= 30 kg
Initial velocity,u=0.8m/s
Final velocity,v= 0m/s
Distance,S=0.5 m
From third equation of motion,
2as=V²-U²
2 x a x 0.5 = O²- .8²
a = -0.64 m/s²
From Newton second law of motion,
F= m x a
F=30 x -0.64 N
F= -19.2 N
