Given : cardboard is 4.5 m long and 3.5 m wide.

rate of Painting Rs-1.25 per square metre

To Find : what is the cost of painting it on both the sides

Solution:

cardboard is 4.5 m long and 3.5 m wide.

Area of one side = 4.5 * 3.5

= 15.75 m²

Area of both sides = 2 * 15.75 =  31.5 m²

rate of Painting Rs 1.25 per square meter

Area = 31.5  m²

cost of painting  = Rate * area

=  1.25  * 31.5

= 39.375  Rs

cost of painting  = Rs  39.375
