A cardboard measures 30 cm long and 20cm wide. A strip of 4cm wide is cut from it all around. Find the area of the remaining sheet and also the area of the stip cut out.

here's ur answer...

given length is 30cm and breadth is 20cm. if 4cm wide is cut from all around then it's length will be=30-(4+4)

=30-8

=22cm

and breadth will be=20-(4+4)

=20-8

=12cm

hence, area of the remaining sheet=l×b

=22×12

=264cm²
