A CAREER TO MAKE LIFE WORTH LIVING
‘They only live who live for others’ is a famous saying by Swami Vivekananda, the great sage who believed Work is Worship. In my opinion a career to make life worth living is when I can be of use to Mankind. For that I believe being a doctor is the noblest profession.
It is true that today we have great doctors who worship work definitely but they worship wealth more. Their priority is not to serve people but to accrue wealth. I would like to pursue the career of Medicine but for service and not wealth.
Life is worth living when we can do something for our fellow beings. If we can relieve people from pain, if we can make mothers smile to see their babies delivered smoothly, if we can cure diseases, the smiles and blessings of the people would be far more glorious than wealth. Thus I would opt for a career to make life worth living.
