A carnival was held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, for about a fortnight. Describe the event in not more than 100 to 150 words.

As soon as I entered Pragati Maidan, I was overwhelmed by the colourful décor of the Spring Carnival. Animal shapes made of flowers and beautiful rangolis lined the path that led to the main carnival area. An enthusiastic band was playing songs about springtime. There were stalls selling trinkets, crockery and handloom items. Next came the game stalls. Adults were flocking to the air-rifle-aiming stall while children ran to the throw-a-ring stall. A couple of clowns walked around in floral jumpsuits, balancing themselves on stilts. The sitting area was right next to the food court. All sorts of delicacies from momos to exotic fruit pies were being served. A large Ferris wheel was in action on the far end of the field. There was so much to explore that I didn’t know where to start! Luckily it would be on for a fortnight, so I could come again, another day.
