a carnot engine working between 400k and 800k has a work output of 1200j per cycle. what is the amount of heat energy supplied to the engine from source per cycle ?

Answer:

W = 1200J

T1 = 800K

T2 = 400k

eta = 1-T2/T1

= W/Q1

= 1-400/800

1200/Q1 = 0.5

so Q1 = 2400J Ans
