Total length = 8 ft

Now it is cut in 2 parts
Total length of both the parts = 3 1/2 + 2 1/3 = 7/2 + 7/3

Now taking LCM of 2,3 = 6
7 x 3/ 2 x3 = 21/6
7 x 2/ 3 x 2 = 14/6

Now add , 21/6 + 14/6 = 35/6 ft

Now subtract from original length of board
8 - 35/6 = 48/6 - 35/6 = 13/6 = 2 1/6 ft

Correct option - A 2 1/6 ft
