Let us make a mathematical problem from the given data:

Number of chairs Time (Days)

42 39

70 ?

Here, 'Number of chairs' and 'Time' are directly proportional since if the number of chairs is increased, the time required will increase.

Therefore the required time is

= 39 * 70/42 days

= 65 days

Answer: In 65 days, he will make 70 chairs.
