A carpet is 6 m long and 4.5 m wide.find the area of of the carpet and then multiply the answer by 45 plz step by step plz​

So multiply your dimensions of the room:

6x4.5=27. That’s the square meters of the room.

Then do the same for the individual tiles :

0.5x0.4=.20. So that’s the square m of a tile.

Then divide that .2 into the total area and you get the number of tiles. So;

27.0 / .20 = 135. Therdfore there would be 135 tiles ( at least) required.
