Solutions :-

Given :
Length of carpet = 6 m
Breadth = 4.5 m

Find the area of carpet :-

Area of rectangle = (Length × Breadth) sq. Units
= (6 × 4.5) m²
= 27 m²

Find the cost price of carpet at Rs 45/m² :-

1 m² = Rs 45
27 m² = Rs (45 × 27) = Rs 1215

Hence,
The cost price of carpet at Rs 45/m² = Rs 1215

SOLUTION :

The length of the carpet = 6 m

The breadth of the carpet = 4.5 m

To be found :-

The area of the carpet and the cost if it costs Rs 45 per square metre

The carpet is having length and breath(width)

So,

it is in the form of rectangle

Area of rectangle = lb unit sq.     [ ∴ In which l is the length and b is the breadth of the rectangle ]

So,

Area of the carpet = lb unit sq.

                               = 6 × 4.5 m sq.

                               = 27 m sq.

If the cost of 1 m sq. = Rs 45

Than,

The cost of 27 m sq carpet is = 27 × 45

                                                 = Rs 1215

Hence,

The cost of the carpet is Rs 1215
