Step-by-step explanation:

length of the carpet is 6m 20cm

breadth of the carpet is 3m 40cm

perimeter is 2 (l + b)

= 2 (6m 20cm + 3m + 40cm)

= 2 (9m 60cm)

= 19m 20cm

so tape required is 19m 20cm which is equal to 19.2m

cost of 19.2m tape = 19.2 × 4

= $ 76.8
