Area of room = 14 × 10 = 140m2

Area of carpet = 14-1 × 10 -1 = 117m2

Area remains uncovered = 140 - 117 = 23m2

Hope it helps u !

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:Area of outer rectangular =14*10=140 sq m

Length of inner rectangular = 14-2=12 m

Breadth of inner rectangular =10-2=8 m

Area of inner rectangular =12*8=96 sq m

Area of uncovered carpet = outer area - inner area =140-96=44 sq m
