1m=100cm
6m=600cm

we should leave 25cm each side,it is 100cm
so, 600-100=500cm=5m

area of square=sxs
=5x5
=25 sq. m.

cost per 1 sq. m. =120
cost per 25 sq. m. =120x25
=Rs. 3000

hope it hlps u

The cost of the carpet is ₹3630.

• Given data :

Length of the one side of the hall is 6 metres.

The length of the carpet is 25 centimetres or 0.25 metres smaller from each of the wall.

The cost of the carpet is rupees 120 per square metre.

• Now,the length of the one side of the carpet

= {6-(2×0.25)} [0.25 metre smaller from both sides]

= 5.5 metres

• Now, we have to calculate the area of the carpet by using the following mathematical formula :

= Side × Side

= 5.5 × 5.5

= 30.25 m²

• Now,we have to calculate the cost of the carpet by using the following mathematical formula :

= Area of the carpet × Price per metre square

= 30.25 × 120

= ₹3630

So,the price of the carpet is ₹3630. (Answer)
