A cart of mass m is moving with the speed of U. After covering distance of ' L ' lenghts blocks of weight 'm/2' are released into the cart vertically. Find the time required for cart to cover a distance of 9L/2 ​

We will use conservation of momentum

Let a body of mass M travelling with velocity u for length L. After each interval of length L mass \frac{L}{2} is added to the cart with the original body of mass M.

by adding all the time intervals for \frac{9L}{2} distance

t=t¹+t²+t³+t⁴+t⁵= \frac{17L}{2u}
