Answer:

Carton is of a cuboidal shape. Hence we can solve it by assuming the carton's volume as Volume of Cuboid.

Volume of Cuboid = L × B × H

⇒ 80 cm³ = 10 × 4 × H

⇒ 80 cm³ = 40 cm² × H

⇒ H = 80 cm³ / 40 cm²

⇒ H = 2 cm

Hence the height of the carton is 2 cm.

Well what is volume?

Volume is equal to Length*breadth*height.

Lets call length as l.

breadth as b.

height as h.

and volume as V

Remember that : V=lbh.

The given data shows:

V=80cm³

l=10cm

b=4cm

V=lbh

Dividing both sides by lb we get:

V/lb=lbh/lb

h=V/lb

Now insert these values given to you.

You will get h.

h=80cm³/(10cm*4cm)

=80cm³/40cm²

cm³/cm² gives cm

80/40 gives 2.

So:

h=2cm.

The height is 2cm.

That's easy mathematics.

Hope it helps you.
