10 pm is the answer as each one will guard have a duty if 8 hours so through that if the 1st guard is at 6 o’clock then the 2nd will be at 2 pm so the 3rd will be at 10pm

To Find,

Solution,

As 3 guards share the work equally in 24 hours.

⇒ Each guard has to work for = 24/3 = 8 hours.

The time interval for the first guard is,

⇒ 06:00 AM + 8 hours = 14:00 = 02:00 PM

It means the first guard work interval is from 06:00 AM to 02:00 PM.

The time interval for the second guard is,

⇒ 02:00 PM(14:00) + 8 hours = 22:00 = 10:00 PM

It means the second guard work interval is from 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

We know that the time at which the second guard ends the duty, the third guard starts the duty.

⇒ The third guard starts duty = 10:00 PM.

Hence, 10:00 PM is the time at which the third guard starts his duty.
