velocity of car = 144km/hr=144000m/60×60sec=40m/s

distance = speed × time therefore distance=40×20=800m

yakshak8: But at back side of book the answer is 1200m

u=0m/s
v=144 X 1000/3600 =40m/s
t =20 s
v= u+at
40 =o+ aX20
a= 2m/s^2

Now, v^2 -u^2 =2as
40^2-0 =2X2Xs
1600=4s
s = 1600/4
s= 400m......

yakshak8: Thanks but at back of book the answer is 1200m
Dhiren123: The answer at the back needs not always to be correct....
Dhiren123: You follow and revise the steps done by me and then crosscheck the answer with your teacher
GauravX: yeah he is right i got wrong ... i cant edit in required time
