Given;

3dog = 4 cat;

Or, dog/cat = 4/3;

Let cat's 1 leap = 3 meter and dogs 1 leap = 4 meter.

Then, ratio of speed of cat and dog = 3*5/4*4 = 15:16.

hope it helps

The ratio of the speed of the cat to that of the dog is 15:16.

Leaps of the cat = 5 (Given)

Leaps of the dog = 4 (Given)

Thus, 5 leaps of cat = 4 leaps of the dog

Similarly,

4 leaps of cat = 3 leaps of dog

Thus,

1 leap of cat = 3/4 leap dog

The cat takes 5 leaps for every 4 leaps of dog

Therefore, required ratio = (5 × Cat leap ) : ( 4 × Dog leap)

= (5 x 3/4 dog's leap) / (4 x Dog's leap)

= 15/16

Thus,  the ratio of the speed of the cat to that of the dog is 15:16.
