three wings angle = 360
one wing angle = 360/3=120

Length of arc= 120/360×22/7×0.98
= 1/3×44/7×0.98
= 44/21×0.98
=43.12/21 = 2.053 m

Length of arc described between the wings is 2.05 m.

  • The ceiling fan has 3 wings .
  • Angle between 2 winds will be 360° ÷ 3 = 120°.
  • We have to find the length of arcs described between the wings.
  • Length of the wing is given as 0.98m.
  • The fan rotates and forms a circle with radius as the length of arc and the angle between wings is 120°.
  • Now we calculate the length of arc between the wings using the length of arc formula,

Length of arc = \frac{\theta}{360} × 2πr

  • Now , we substitute the values, r= 0.98 and θ = 120°

Length of arc = \frac{120}{360} × 2π(0.98)

Length of arc = \frac{1}{3} × 2π(0.98) = 2.05 m
