Given details:

Capacity of the battery is 12mAh

Discharge is at C/4 rate

Solution:

We know that,

  • For a 1Ah battery rated at 1C, discharge will be 1A current for one hour.
  • For a 12mAh battery rated at 1C, discharge will be 12mA current for one hour.

Similarly, C/2 rate means two hour discharge.

In our scenario, for a C/4 rate of discharge of 12 mAh battery, 3 mAh current is discharged in four hours.

Answer:

The time taken for complete discharge will be 4 hours.

Hope it helps.
