yes a cell is a building unit of an organism..the cell is the fundamental structural and functional unit of all living beings...its the smallest part of the body of an organism which is capable of independent existence and of performing the essential functions...every organ in our body-skin,brain,muscel or even bones are composed of hundreds of thousands of such cells...similarly,every part of a plant-the leaf ,flower,root,and even wood are composed of an exceedingly large number of cell...hence we can say the cell is a building block or a building unit of an organism..hope this helps pl mark as brainliest
