Profit on the white cement = ₹8

Loss on the grey cement= ₹6

Amount of white cement bags sold= 2000

Amount of cement bags sold= 3000

Solution,

First, we need to find how much the company earned through the white cement using the formula,

Final Amount = Profit per item× number of bags sold

Now we substitute the values

A= 8 × 2000

A= ₹16000

So the profit = ₹16000

Now we need to find the amount of grey cement bags they have sold.

We need to subtract the number of total cement bags  by the white bags.

Grey cement bags = Total number of bags sold - Total number of white bags sold

Now we substitute the values

y= 3000-2000

which equals to

y=1000

There were 1000 grey cement bags sold

Now we see how much money the company lost by selling 1000 grey cement bags

Final amount= Loss per item × number of cement sold

Now we substitute the values

A= 6 × 1000

A= 6000

₹6000 is the loss which the company incurred by selling the grey cement bags.

Now we look for the final profit or loss the company has incurred.

Final Profit= Profit - Loss

Substituting the values

A= 16000-6000
