A cement company earns a profit of ₹11 per bag of white cement sold out a loss of ₹6 per bag of grey
cement sold.
(a)The company sells 4,000 bags of white cement and 8,000 bags grey cement in a month what is its
profit or loss?

(b)What is the number of white cement bags it must sell to have neither profit nor loss, if the number of grey bags sold is 1,100 bags.​

Answer:

  1. a-4000×11=44000

profit on selling white cement is 44000.

loss on selling grey cement-8000×6=48000

its total loss is- 4000

b. here. no. of white cement bags -600

loss on grey bags-1100×6=6600

no. of white bags = 6600÷11=600
