A census was done on the literacy rate of rural women of Rajasthan.
Representatives went from door to door for their data collection. They faced
a lot of problem for collecting their data as the women were not allowed to
move out of their house and talk to the outsiders. Then a small skit was
staged at the centre of the village and the moral of the skit was importance
of women literacy, how an educated girl can make two generations of her
family literate by educating her parents, in-laws and children.After final
collection of data, while checking the valueof 20 observations, it was noted
that 125 was wrongly noted as 25 while calculating the mean and then the
mean was 60. The head of the group calculated the correct mean and
submitted to the government. Gradually it was noticed that women of that
area have started sending their daughters to day school and they themselves
started going to the night school for adult education. Find mean submitted
