No. of moles of AlCl3  in the first solution =No. of  moles of AlCl3 final solution

M1 * V1 = M2* V2

0.01*0.5=M2*1.25

M2=0.005/1.25

M2=0.004

This is the molarity of AlCl3 in the final solution

hence M of Cl- ion = 0.012
